Through the use of hands-on activities students will “visit” a tropical rainforest to learn about the wonders of these vanishing habitats and familiarize themselves with the “Jungle in the Pantry” (i.e., common household products that originate from rainforests). Hook Kids on Fishing Clinic!

Co-sponsored by Anglers for Conservation, The “Hook Kids on Fishing” event is for kids between ages 5-15 (with a parent) and hosted by professional guides, knowledgeable anglers, and scientists. This hands-on, conservation-minded, and educational fishing program teaches children about casting, knot tying, fishing safety, catch and release, fish habitats, conservation, and more!

Receive a rod, reel and tackle box! Participants learn skills before trying our luck fishing in the lagoon!

Nature’s Nomads: Jupiter Lighthouse and Trail

We will start with a guided tour of the Loxahatchee River shoreline, including the pier, where we will see the our living shoreline restoration project up close. We will work our way to the south loop trail for a one-mile nature walk through hammock, coastal and scrub habitats, ending the tour with a climb up the iconic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.
